I’m another mom who received your book as a Christmas gift from my 20 yr old daughter. I spent most of the holiday laughing out loud as I read the funny examples of texts that look like some I have sent my own kids. I remember thinking when they were younger that the old saying “generation gap” would no longer apply in our world…but hence, I was wrong. Sigh I don’t think I will ever catch up with the technical abilities my children have in this computerized society…and that’s most apparent when I try to text and do something else at the same time. Text AND drive? ha! R u serious?  Thanks for the laughs and also for appreciating the fact that, underneath the typos and failed attempts at emoticon humor, we are just folks who love our kids and only want to better our relationships with them. Good work!
