Family Vacation? 3 Luxury Private Island Resorts You Simply HAVE TO Visit

How often do you dream of simply escaping to a private island, away from everything? Yes, it’s the perfect getaway for you, but don’t think you can’t do it with your family in tow. Some luxury private island resorts have all you need to keep the whole family busy, so you can get that much deserved rest and a break from it all.

Below, we’ve compiled a list of three places in the Tanzania and Zanzibar area every family should see at least once. You, your partner, and the kids will all return feeling better and more capable of handling the stress of everyday life.

Thanda Island

The first thing to note is that Thanda Island is a private marine reserve. Even by just visiting you’re already part of helping the oceans, since the whole area is protected. So, if the environment matters to you and you want to teach your children about it, this is the place to be.

Your kids won’t be bored! Where else can you swim with a shark? Don’t worry, the whale shark is a gentle creature but certainly something to tell friends about once you’re back home.

Apart from swimming, relax while getting a massage on the beach, or fill up on exquisite dishes.

On Thanda you’ll see you’re far removed from civilization because it’s so remote, but you’ll enjoy all the perks of modern holidays.

Baraza Resort and Spa

Let’s be clear: Baraza resort is firstly all about helping the adults relax. That’s what the Frangipani Spa Zanzibar is all about! Get that much needed massage or do some yoga! The lap pool even has music playing that’s audible under the water!

But Baraza did not forget about the kids!

For starters, it’s only good news for parents that kids up until the age of 12 can stay for free! This means you can do even more with your available holiday budget. Just note there are terms and conditions. For example, it only applies to Garden View Villa bookings.

Once you’re all there, the kids will use up all available energy on kayaking, learning to kite surf and diving. If they’re not all adventurists, they have the opportunity to learn about Swahili cooking or palm weaving.

Something for everyone!

Chapwani

Our third option to book this year is Chapwani Resort and once again you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to activities:

  • Deep sea fishing
  • Sailing
  • Bird watching
  • Canoes
  • Snorkeling and scuba excursions

The list goes on! The water around the island caters for newbies and experienced snorkelers, so everyone will see amazing sea life.

Warning: these rooms don’t even have TVs, so prepare your kids for a holiday away from technology and screens!

[Conclusion]

Don’t say ‘one day’! Why not this year?

These luxurious resorts are designed to give families all they need for a holiday that suits all. Would you rather dream about this or look at the selfies you took there?

About Me

Hi! I'm Annie and I have 3 kids (all in their teens - yikes!). My mommy blog isn't all about lunches and DIY - it's also about humour. Like how my kids make fun of my texts as if I don't know how to use emojis (I DO!). Now that I have a bit more time - since my kids don't want to hang out with me (teenagers), I have taken up blogging.
