Is Multigrain Atta better than regular Atta?

July 21, 2021 by Annie

Atta or flour is a staple in the general diet of an Indian. Mainly, Atta or flour is used to make Indian bread like Rotis, Pooris, Cheelas, Bhakars etc. The whole wheat flour is the most common Atta that Indians use. Other than Wheat, Besan, Jowar, and Ragi are also other flours used in Indian dishes. Each of these flours has its health benefits. Multigrain Atta is a mix of many of these flours. Hence, its nutrients are higher! Here are some reasons why Multigrain Atta is better than regular Atta.

As mentioned, Multigrain atta contains three or more flours of different grains. That means that it has all the healthy nutrients present in each of those various grains, making it a gold mine of health. Notably, that Multigrain Atta is a whole grain flour too. What does that mean? Whole grain flours are those that use the entire grain in the making of the flour. Hence, Multigrain flour has the goodness of several whole-grain flours put together.

High in Protein

Out of the several ingredients that Multigrain atta is rich in, Protein is the biggest one. Protein is a potent macronutrient that is essential in every diet for the all-round growth and development of the body. The Protein in the Atta helps build muscle strength and keeps you full and satisfied for longer. That, in turn, helps avoid binge eating and snacking between meals.

High in dietary fibres

Due to being made from whole grains, Multigrain Atta also contains a significant amount of dietary fibres that promote easy digestion. Dietary fibres make bowel movement more efficiently, which is very helpful for people suffering from indigestion or IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome). These fibres hence bring more energy to the body and keep you more active.

The Aashirvaad Multigrain Atta provides these benefits and more as it is a blend of 6 whole grains. They include Wheat, Soya, Channa, and Oats, among others. The product contains all the vital minerals and proteins from all six grains and is rich in protein.

Why should you include Multigrain into your diet?

If you are someone who leads an active lifestyle and is consciously making an effort to stay healthy, the Aashirvaad Multigrain Atta is a good replacement of regular Atta. Your regular Atta might contain some nutrients, but the Aashirvaad Multigrain Atta contains wheat and the goodness of Soya, Channa and Oats, which gives more added nutrients.

One of the preconceived notions about Multigrain atta is that it will not give fluffy and good quality Rotis that regular Atta does. But this is a false notion. In reality, the Aashirvaad Multigrain Atta absorbs extra moisture while kneading and gives softer and fluffier Rotis that remain soft for long! Not just Rotis but also Pooris, Parathas, Litti Chokha etc., can be made with Multigrain Atta.

Essentially, Multigrain Atta is better than regular atta because it blends not one or two, but more than three whole grains in it. Whole grains in themselves are known to contain a high amount of natural nutrients and fibres, which is what is abundant in Multigrain Atta.

The whole grains in Multigrain atta contain very little saturated fat and keep cholesterol in check. This atta is particularly good for diabetic and heart patients since it consists of very low carbohydrates and a low Glycemic Index. If you are looking for a healthier atta option for a more active lifestyle for you and your family, make a switch to Aashirvaad Multigrain Atta today.

About Me

Hi! I'm Annie and I have 3 kids (all in their teens - yikes!). My mommy blog isn't all about lunches and DIY - it's also about humour. Like how my kids make fun of my texts as if I don't know how to use emojis (I DO!). Now that I have a bit more time - since my kids don't want to hang out with me (teenagers), I have taken up blogging.
