5 No-BS Ways to Feel Confident and Sexy

August 13, 2020 by Annie

Struggling to feel confident in the way you look can put a major damper on your personal relationship and on the relationship that you have with your partner. Fortunately, there are plenty of women who have found ways to reignite the spark that they feel for themselves. Do you want to reclaim your power and boost your self-image? If you have been feeling anything less than your best, here are five no-BS ways to feel confident and sexy again.

1. Purchase clothing that helps you feel more confident in your skin.

When some people feel like they are not sexy enough, they may end up buying clothing that is baggy or unflattering to hide away from their lack of confidence. Part of getting in touch with the side of you that feels great about yourself is dressing in clothes that celebrate your body.

One way to accomplish this is by purchasing some sexy lingerie that you can rock around the house on your days off. Whether this means putting on a tight, sexy lace lingerie set or putting on some relaxing yet revealing sleepwear, getting the right clothes that embrace your body type and show you how amazing you look is an excellent way to start loving the skin you’re in.

If you don’t typically shop for these kinds of clothes, you can find some great products at a reputable online store like Spicy Lingerie. Not only will you be able to find lace bra and panty sets for the bedroom but you can also purchase form-fitting dresses and swimwear to feel sexy outside of the house as well!

2. Try out new makeup products and give yourself a makeover.

Makeup has changed drastically over the years, giving women the ability to do nearly anything they want from maintaining the perfect nude look to going all out with vibrant eye shadows and lipsticks. As such, makeovers can be another way to start feeling better about yourself and getting in touch with your sexier side.

Whether that means purchasing some wild eye shadow pallets, putting on some new mink magnetic eyelashes (which, let’s face it, are far more enjoyable to take on and off than other false eyelashes), or getting that new lip kit you’ve had your eye on, feel free to experiment and find what makes you happy.

3. Get moving (and have fun doing it).

A life without movement is one that can make us feel bad about our image. Exercise helps to boost our mood by releasing endorphins, reduce stress, and improve our mental and physical health overall (which can be super helpful in tackling self-esteem issues). Just doing something as simple as regular yoga exercises has been proven to boost our self-image and lower our body distraction. If you’ve been looking for a reason to start a body-positive fitness journey, this is one big advantage to use as your incentive to get going.

4. Make love to yourself.

When we’re feeling no sexual attraction to ourselves, it can be hard to intimately connect with others. Instead of trying to gain that confidence with another person, make love to yourself, and find your sexiness and confidence during your alone time. When we’re making love to ourselves, we can do so without judgment, exploring our bodies fearlessly. Remember, your most important relationship is the one you have with yourself. As such, you must build that confidence with yourself before being able to display it to the world.

5. Consider enlisting the help of a counselor.

Serious confidence and self-worth issues will require you to get more than a helpful tip here and there. If you struggle to see yourself as sexy and worthy, consider reaching out to a counselor who can help you work through these beliefs. With their assistance, you will receive an outside perspective that can help you frame things more realistically, coping mechanisms that can help you challenge these negative thought patterns, and any help you need with underlying issues that may be contributing to these thoughts. Even though it can seem scary, counseling can be highly beneficial in helping you see just how amazing and beautiful you are.

Feeling sexy and confident is not something that comes naturally to everyone. If you struggle with these areas, use the five no-BS tips listed above to begin revealing your own shine to yourself and the world.

About Me

Hi! I'm Annie and I have 3 kids (all in their teens - yikes!). My mommy blog isn't all about lunches and DIY - it's also about humour. Like how my kids make fun of my texts as if I don't know how to use emojis (I DO!). Now that I have a bit more time - since my kids don't want to hang out with me (teenagers), I have taken up blogging.
